Mount Charleston is about 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Mary Janes Fall Trail is rated the number 4th trail to do in all of Nevada, according to AllTrails. The trail is an “out and back” trail and it is 2.3 miles. The length of the trail is short but it does not feel like that at all. Maybe I am super out of shape but for me, this trail is hard because of the elevation. I had to stop several times going up hill to catch my breath.
There are two (potential) waterfalls at Mary Jane. One to the right and one to the left. It honestly just depends on if it has snowed recently and if the snow is melting. I have hiked this trail twice. The first time one was pouring while the other one had no water and the reverse happened the second time I did the trail.
If you go further down the trail, you will find a spooky cave with a pentagram. I don’t think I want to know what kind of rituals happened here.
