The Metropolitan Museum of Art “The Met” is a must see in New York City. It is located on the east (or right) side of Central Park. I cannot fathom how huge The Met is. I spent a few hours here and only saw part of it. My feet were throbbing by the end. I was shocked how whipped out I was just from seeing only one of the wings.

The Met is free for children under 12 years old, $12 for students, and $25 for adults. If you live in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut, the admission to The Met is by donation (whatever amount you choose). The Met is open daily except Tuesday and Wednesday from 10AM to 5PM.

The map is from The Met’s website

I was surprised to see several Picasso pieces at The Met. The second one posted above is a self portrait of Picasso missing his left eye.

This artwork is my favorite from The Met so far. It’s called “Newsboy” by Carl G. Hill. The purpose of the art was to “create sound” so you could imagine the yelling, cars, and chaos while looking at the drawing.
